PEOPLE confirms that Alexis Bellino and John Janssen are engaged after a whirlwind nine-month romance. The proposal took place on Tuesday, August 27, during a romantic getaway at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California.
PEOPLE exclusively reveals that the Real Housewives of Orange County stars, who began their relationship in November 2023, are now officially engaged. Janssen, a successful businessman, proposed to Bellino, 47, on their anniversary, marking a memorable milestone in their relationship.
The couple's engagement news was shared by a representative, who told PEOPLE: "John & Alexis are happily engaged and excitedly look forward to their future together as husband and wife.”

Bellino took to Instagram to share her excitement about the engagement. On August 28, she posted a photo showcasing her stunning cushion-cut diamond ring with the caption: “On Cloud 9 🎉❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️, celebrating 9 months of love and laughter, and looking forward to my forever with you.” She added, “Every moment together has been a gift. I am so in love with you and the beautiful life we’re building together. And the answer is 100000000% yes.” The post included hashtags #9MonthsStrong and #LoveOfMyLife, along with a Bible verse from 1 Corinthians 13:13: “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
Janssen proposed during a romantic trip to the San Ysidro Ranch, a setting Bellino had been sharing on her Instagram Stories. In a video, Bellino expressed her joy, saying, “My boo surprised me. This is unbelievable... I'm very happy, honey. It's lovely.”
PEOPLE first reported on Bellino and Janssen’s relationship in early December 2023. The couple met on November 18, 2023, at The Quiet Woman in Orange County, and went public with their romance shortly thereafter. Bellino had recently ended her engagement with Andy Bohn in September 2023, while Janssen had split from Shannon Storms Beador in late 2022 and again in September 2023.
